Born in Santiago in 1953, Eduardo Guelfenbein graduated from the Academy delle Belle Arte, Breva, Milan, Italy. After extensive traveling, he settled in Paris where he continues to paint his thick, expressive, colorful art enriched with the energy of his South American heritage.
Loyal to the Abstract genre, Guelfenbein creates interesting textures with contrasting carved gestural strokes in a full color palette of fiery tones of red, orange and blue. Potentially the liquid transformations and patterns are infinite and the hells and valleys are of never ending forms.
Guelfenbein has held numerous exhibitions around the world from Europe, America, Australia including a private show at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Santiago, Chile.
